International Cooperation
CBRN SOLUTIONS experts have been involved in many international cooperation projects endeavouring to strengthen and improve national and regional CBRN plans. This involved building capabilities to mitigate CBRN threats working alongside international and local experts.
The lines of work included CBRN theoretical and field scenario creation, safety & security, risk assessment, hazardous waste management, transport of hazardous chemical & biological substances and development of mobile CBRN laboratories
The projects were run in many regions, including the African Atlantic Façade (AAF) , North Africa and Sahel (NAS), and Eastern Europe.
Research & Development
CBRN SOLUTIONS experts have extensive experience in both basic and applied research for national and international CBRN projects. This covers the design of remote systems for detecting and identifying CBRN threats, CBRN system integration and development of CBRN network detection systems.
Ongoing Projects
“On-site technical assistance to the EU chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear Centres of Excellence regional secretariats – P94”.
The overall objective is to address specific global and trans-regional threats to peace, international security and stability, through enhancing governance and cooperation on CBRN risk prevention, detection and mitigation.
The project will contribute to the following outputs:
- Effective CBRN risk mitigation and security governance through the EU CBRN Centres of Excellence initiative.
- Strengthened cooperation in CBRN risk mitigation among EU CBRN risk mitigation Centres of Excellence initiative partners of a given region and among different regions for exchanging best practices and lessons learnt.
- Increased capacity of partner countries to deal with safety and security challenges related to biological threats and CBRN related disaster relief
